Weight Watcher Points Plus or Other Low-Fat Diet Desserts

Delicious and satisfying Baked Apple Dessert and Fruit-Filled Crepes you can enjoy while on the Weight Watchers PointsPlus program or other low-fat diets.
If you have been on Weight Watchers Points Plus for a while now, you may find that you need some new recipes or tips to keep your interest peaked. Even if your shrinking body is providing all the motivation you need to stay on track, it’s always nice to add variety to your daily meal plan.

Weight Watchers Points Plus Baked Apple Dessert

Makes 2 servings. Points Plus value per serving ~ 0.

Baked apple filling:

  • 3 large apples
  • 5 tbsp calorie-free sugar substitute (that can be used for cooking or baking)
  • 1 tbsp sugar free caramel syrup (optional)
  • Cooking spray
  • Dash of vanilla
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

You will also need 2-2.5 tbsp fat-free whipped toppingDirections: Preheat oven to 375°. Spray oven-safe dish with cooking spray. Peel and slice apples into dish. Add sugar substitute, vanilla, caramel syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg; cover and bake 30 minutes. Let cool slightly. Divide into two dishes, top each with 2.5 tbsp whipped topping. Sprinkle some additional cinnamon and nutmeg and serve.

Weight Watchers Points Plus Amazing 2 Point Baked Apple Crepe

This recipe is simple to make and so delicious that you can serve it as a dessert and your guests will never guess that you are watching their calories!
Makes 2 servings. Points Plus value per serving ~2.

  • 2 Santa Fe Homestyle Whole Grain Tortillas (or other Whole Grain Tortilla – PointsPlus Value 2)
  • cooking spray
  • 3 tbsp Egg Beaters or 1 egg white
  • 1 tbsp calorie-free sugar substitute (that can be used for cooking or baking)
  • Dash vanilla
  • 1 tbsp sugar-free caramel syrup (optional)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • Nutmeg
  • Baked apple filling from above recipe

Directions: Prepare baked apple filling and while it is cooling, heat a frying pan over medium heat. In a small bowl mix together Egg Beaters, sugar substitute, vanilla, caramel syrup and cinnamon. Spray pan with cooking spray. Place tortilla on a flat surface. Using a cooking brush, take 4 tsp mixture and spread 2 tsp on each side of tortilla covering entire surface. Place tortilla in heated frying pan and heat approximately 1 ½ to 2 minutes on each side. If desired, sprinkle with additional cinnamon while heating. Remove tortilla/crepe and place flat on dish. Spread just under ½ of apple mixture in a straight line across center of tortilla. Roll it up, spread approximately 1 more tablespoon of apple mixture across top of rolled crepe. Top each crepe with 2 ½ tablespoons cool whip and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.Optional fillings include berries, peaches or sliced bananas.

Additional Low Point Dessert or Snack Ideas

Add extra zing to your fruit salad by adding a little chopped crystallized ginger or a couple teaspoons of coconut.
Add variety and taste to Weight Watcher smoothies by adding one or two tablespoons of sugar free syrups like Kahlua, Vanilla, Irish Cream, Hazelnut or Caramel. If you can spare the points, add extra protein by tossing in a tablespoon or two of smooth peanut butter.
